The 3DO rating system is the rating system from The 3DO Company. This was another pre-ESRB gaming rating system, as Sega, another game developer, also made a rating system for their consoles (Pre-Sega Saturn). This was first used in March 1994. These are used for 3DO games. This is conjunction with the ESRB (The current video game rating system in the United States) from late 1994. Games can be submitted to the 3DO or ESRB as of late 1994.

The ratings from the 3DO rating system are:

  • E: All ages
  • 12: Suitable for ages 12 and above
  • 17: Suitable for ages 17 and above
  • AO: Adults only
