Should theme be considered in an maturity rating?
I was pondering this question when I was rewatching Digimon Adventures, since the show does have some mature themes that I never understood as a kid (For reference, one of the themes is about death, or atleast, a near death experience). I think I'll list out some pros and cons, then I'll open the discussion.
Pros:
- Younger audiences wouldn't be in fear/worry of the implications.
- Older audiences (generally) may see less "younger" themes.
Cons:
- Theme can be used as an education tool, which means that younger audiences that may require education on a certain topic considered "mature" wouldn't understand until they're at a later age in life, when learning becomes harder
- Most kids (including me when I was young) don't understand mature themes in the f…

This journal entry has nothing to do with the MPA' == After some back-and-forth thinking, I have decided to slightly change the name of AMCRS' highest rating, NC-17. This is only a simple name change, and will not affect the rating's functionality, nor will it affect anything else. In fact, this is more a name simplification than a name change.
From this point forward, NC-17 will now be referred to as just "NC" from this point on, simply meaning "No Children." The original name meant "No Children 17 and Under."

The Brazilian government has updated the country's age rating rules, and it added a brand new age rating, 6 and A6 (autorating) as a bridge to the "big discrepancy" between Livre (General Audiences) and 10 (Not recommended for children under 10 years old), and now the country has 7 total different age ratings!

Challenge!
In trying to recreate ESRB's classification guidelines, use a scheme that represents the most classifications in the last decade. Yes, you will have to look into the content of a ton and a ton of video games rated by the ESRB, note all the objectionable content in them, and what triggered a particular rating.
The ESRB tends to include content descriptors when at the rating category and one level lower than the rating category (and in case of the AO rating, two levels lower).

Returning to Fandom
As something happened while hosting the forked wiki, I'm sorry that I might return to editing in the Fandom wiki. TV-Y7 fits in the PG category more than U.
I would say that TV-Y7 would fit more in the PG category rather than U. However, hard TV-Y may still be U. Additionally, TV-Y7-FV would also make it to PG more than U.
I also have to say that TV-Y7 and TV-Y7-FV are direct equivalents to PEGI 7 as well as its Finland equivalent.
PEGI 7 is also fitting more in the PG category rather than the U category, however the ! category, may be unsure, but more like a PG One or a 12A.
Also, PEGI 16 will fit in the BBFC 15 category more than BBFC 18.

I created a custom NC-17 Rated Movie, It's called: Grab (2008). Grab would be by Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures.
