In the Hong Kong motion picture rating system, introduced in 1988, the Category I age rating is an advisory rating which would mean "Suitable for All Ages". It does not always mean a children's movie, but children can watch Category I movies unaccompanied. This and Category III are the only categories without a change, and Category II would be split to A and B in 1995. The symbol is an encircled letter I.
