The Cinematograph Authority regulates films released for public exhibition in Jamaica. It assigns one of four ratings according to its content.

- G - "Appropriate for all ages."
- The G rating means that a film is suitable for all ages.
- PG - (only applied occasionally)
- PG-13 - "Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian."
- The PG-13 rating means that persons under 13 are not admitted unless accompanied with an adult.
- T-16 - "Teenagers 14 & 15 will be admitted in the company of an adult."
- The T-16 rating means that no one under 14 is admitted, and persons aged 14 to 15 must be accompanied with an adult.
- A-18 - "No one under the age of 18 years will be admitted."
- The A-18 rating means only adults are admitted.
