This is the Danish film rating system.
Approval of the film for general admittance. Equivalent to G
Approval of the film for general admittance, but not recommended for children younger than the age of 7. Equivalent to PG
Approval of the film for admittance of children from the age of 11. Equivalent to PG, PG-13
Approval of the film for admittance of children from the age of 15. Equivalent to PG-13, R, NC-17
Exempt from classification – only used on home video products (mostly documentaries, Danish stand-up shows and educational material)
Children who are 7 are allowed admission to all films if accompanied by an adult (a person who is 18). Consequently, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their children do not watch violent and hardcore pornographic films.
Films accessible to the public do not have to be classified by the Media Council but consequently must be labeled as 15 – approval of the film for admittance of children from the age of 15 – no matter the content of the film.
At cinemas, 11 and 15 rating is restricted, and the cinema has to make sure that you are the right age, or if over 7 years old, accompanied by an adult.
