PEGI Fear annotated

Fear (PEGI 7) and Horror (PEGI 12 and more recently PEGI 16) are the names of a content descriptor used by PEGI, and it's typical of horror games. It signals that there may be pictures or sounds likely to be frightening or scary to young children (Fear) or contains pictures or sounds that are likely to be horrifying (Horror) in the game. It is the third most commonly used PEGI content descriptor. In 2020, 159 titles (9.1%) have been given this descriptor, of which 117 are Fear (PEGI 7) and 42 are Horror (PEGI 12 and more recently PEGI 16).
