The Australian Classification Board's descriptions for the PG, M, and MA 15+ classifications all mention an age of 15, which could potentially confuse parents. Specifically:

  • PG means parental guidance for children under 15; unrestricted
  • M means not recommended for children under 15; still unrestricted
  • MA 15+ means restricted to 15 and over unless accompanied by parent or guardian
