New Zealand's G rating is mandated by the OFLC of New Zealand, and is analogous the MPA's G rating and Australia's G rating. Anyone can view a G-rated picture in New Zealand and it is suitable for tamariki. However, this does not necessarily mean tamariki will be interested.
Through a cross-rating system, films rated U in the United Kingdom or G in Australia usually get a G rating for release in New Zealand.
