The General Authority of Media Regulation (Gmedia or GAMR; Arabic: الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام) is an agency of the Government of Saudi Arabia, established in 2012. It is responsible for the development, regulation, and supervision of audiovisual media transmission in the country.
Video game age classification categories[]
GCAM's official rating system for video games was introduced on August 2016. The first title to be rated under the GCAM system is the PlayStation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Cinema age classification categories[]
GCAM introduced Saudi Arabia's official age rating system for movies following the December 2017 announcement of film theaters reopening in the country. In June 2022, the system was revised with a new "PG15" classification, and the "R12" classification is likely retired.
- G: Suitable for all.
- PG: General viewing, but parental supervision is recommended for children under 12 years old.
- PG12: May not be suitable for children under 12. Persons under 12 years old must be supervised by an adult.
- PG15: May not be suitable for children under 15. Persons under 15 years old must be supervised by an adult.
- R15: No one under 15 years old admitted.
- R18: No one under 18 years old admitted.
- Formerly used
- R12: No one under 12 years old admitted. Phased out with the introduction of the PG15 rating in 2022.
A cinema should ask persons proof of their age before admission to a film classified R15 or R18, and they are obliged to refuse admission for underage persons. Films that do not pass censorship guidelines can be refused classification (effectively banned). Eternals could not be screened in Saudi Arabian theaters due to the prominence of a homosexual character. Strange World was refused classification and banned for promoting homosexual behavior involving minors.
