The National Film Centre (Nacionālais kino centrs, NKC) of Latvia is the audiovisual institution of the Latvian government.

- U: Universālai auditorijai – filma paredzēta visu vecumu personām (Universal audience – the film is intended for people of all ages) A film suitable for all ages Equivalent to G.
- 7+: Filma paredzēta personai, kas sasniegusi vismaz 7 gadu vecumu (The film is intended for people aged 7 and over) A film is recommended for persons aged 7 and above Equivalent to PG.
- 12+: Filma paredzēta personai, kas sasniegusi vismaz 12 gadu vecumu (The film is intended for people aged 12 and over) A film is recommended for persons aged 12 and above. Equivalent to PG-13.
- 16+: Filma paredzēta personai, kas sasniegusi vismaz 16 gadu vecumu (The film is intended for people aged 16 and over) A film is recommended for persons aged 16 and above. Equivalent to R.
- 18+: Filma nav paredzēta nepilngadīgai personai (The film is not intended for minors) A film is restricted to adults 18 and older. Equivalent to NC-17. This is the only rating with legal enforcement. It is illegal to show or supply an audiovisual work given an 18+ rating by the NKC to a minor. Cinemas and home media suppliers are legally required to check the age of persons prior to accessing 18+ rated content.
