In New Zealand, the R16 rating is used and mandated by the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act of 1993 to signify that a movie is unsuitable for children under 16. No one under that age is admitted to the motion picture under any circumstance. A video or computer game with an R16 label should not be sold to anyone under 16.

Madonna: Justify My Love ("Sex scenes")
South Park: The Stick Of Truth ("Violence, offensive language, sexual material & other content that may offend")
National Lampoon's Animal House ("Offensive language")
No Strings Attached ("Drug use, sex scenes & offensive language")
Sunshine Cleaning ("Violence, sex scenes & suicide")
Team America World Police ("Violence, offensive language & sex scenes")
Kill Bill Vol.2 ("Violence, offensive language & drug use")
Jackass: The Movie ("Offensive language & content that may offend")
Straight Outta Compton ("Sex scenes, violence, drug use & offensive language")
