In New Zealand, the R16 rating is used and mandated by the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act of 1993 to signify that a movie is unsuitable for children under 16. No one under that age is admitted to the motion picture under any circumstance. A video or computer game with an R16 label should not be sold to anyone under 16.
