Blocking is the process in which admins prevent troublemakers from editing a wiki. Blocking is not to be confused with banning, which is permanent. A user or IP address can be blocked for violating one of our classification guidelines, or for any other reasons other than the ones listed in the guidebook. It is important that users stay away from being blocked and have fun on the wiki. However, some people usually perform vandalism, and then return again with another account. This process is called "sock puppetry", and on Fandom, it's illegal. Sock puppetry is a totally unforgiveable offense to the account, and will result in an infinite block. Sock puppetry can be deterred by reporting it to Fandom staff to disable account creation from that IP address. Admins must not abuse their powers, doing so violates the Classification Guidelines and will result in a loss of admin privileges.

More recently, it is possible to only partially block someone in place of a sitewide block to prevent making edits to a particular page or all pages in a particular namespace. However, partial blocks are not being used in the wiki at the moment.

Have fun!
