Ratings[]

The ratings are:

P.PNG

P (Preschool) - Educational content.

G thai.PNG

G (General) - Suitable for all ages. Equivalent to the MPAA’s G and/or PG.

13.PNG

13 (Young Teen) - Recommended for viewers aged 13 and above. Equivalent to the MPAA’s PG-13.

15.PNG

15 (Older Teen) - Recommended for viewers aged 15 and above. Equivalent to the MPAA’s soft R.

18.PNG

18 (Young Adult) - Recommended for viewers aged 18 and above. Equivalent to the MPAA’s hard R and/or soft NC-17.

20.PNG

20 (Older Adult) - Unsuitable for viewers aged under 20. No one under 20 is admitted. This is the only legally restricted rating. Equivalent to the MPAA’s hard NC-17.

Banning in Thailand[]

A film may be banned as unsuitable for public exhibition if it is "offensive to moral decency, national security or the monarchy". The Constitution of Thailand explicitly prohibits any criticism or defamation of the Thai monarchy, punishable for up to 15 years in prison for each count.
